I am going to try and build a helpful GS2 web Site. I
guess first off will be some links to a few other SG2 site. Then I will include
some scenarios and after action reports. Then I guess a bit about me should be
included.
When I was 12 years old I started playing a game called
"wizards Quest" from Avlon Hill, I still have a copy and my kids and
I play it once in a while... Then I met a guy who had a massive amount of led
and that began painting and collecting mini's about, err...a while a ago and
started like lot's a youngsters with a 30 troop box of Space Marines, sweet
mini's that you put together and painted in whatever manner you wanted. I was
hooked from then on, I even got a job at a hobby shop for about 6 years and the
hobby grew into many Games workshop armies, ACW (15mm, 25mm), AWI(25mm), Dark
Ages(25mm), Boer War(25mm), but mainly WW2 in 20mm. Luckily a good friend
of mine has a huge game room that I have been able to keep my miniatures in for
the last 3 or 4 years. About that long ago I moved across country and sold much
of my collection. The WW2 stuff has a lot of attachment and will never be sold
but everything else was on the EBAY and went the way of the Flintlock.
That leads me to this page and my current mini's collection.
I enjoy Sc-Fi stuff but most often it is all kind of over the top. Stargrunt's
optional timeline was pretty cool and when I started looking at the rules I
knew I found a well done set of rules that fit the mold of rules me and my
buddies had been using for WW2 fights. Good fire mechanics and minimal +/- to
your die roll. Also command and control needed to be included. We also play
"no meeting engagements" as a rule and SG2 has good spotting, hiding
and suppression rules.
I also like the 25mm mini's a lot and enjoy the price. I
have to include a note on this since I am on the West Coast (
Once I get the Digital Camera thingy working I will get
some of my stuff on here.
